Snow in Nottingham

Snow in Nottingham. Perfect. I hope Guy can make it through the snow for our rendezvous. He should be able to make it for it is a gentle snow. Oh so lovely for us the Saturday after Christmas.

Rendezvous

For a time I thought I had been deserted by Guy. He has been gone for such a long time and with no word. So, what else was I supposed to think but desertion? Death? Never. That would be my undoing. And to be left in Nottingham no less. Do not misjudge me for there is some beauty in Nottingham especially this time of year, but the winter beauty does not ease the loneliness one can feel when her husband and blood relatives are so far away. Being Guy's beloved affords me few acquaintances because the people do not get to witness his tender side like I am privileged to witness. Yes, Guy can be ferocious but only because he feels he must fight for whatever he can. You must understand that Guy's father was a one-time landowner in France but due to my father-in-law's illness the money and property were lost. So Guy was left without a title and land. So Guy, in a sense, became a mercenary and does what he does.

However, on a more pleasant note, as Fate would deem Sir Guy has returned home. That is in the only way that he can at the moment for it seems that Sheriff has all but made Guy a prisoner in Nottingham Castle and we only get to meet each other for a sort while every Saturday morning at midnight for two hours. The witching hour and he can be bewitching. Guy looks to be haunted so no words are spoken about where he has been or what he has done. No nagging just loving. It helps to ease his pains and my worry for a little while. We live in our own fantasy world where no one can see or touch us. We are safe with each other. If only for a short time.

I have had my concerns on whether I would see Guy on Christmas Day for I have thought it not possible. Sadly, the chances were very high that Guy would be locked away in Nottingham Castle on that day but miracles have been known to happen.  This I pray for deeply, I pray that I will be able to meet with Sir Guy again this Saturday morning and that Vaisey does not find out about our rendezvous.

Happy Halloween from Guy

Yes it is very late but please do forgive me. A late Guy is better than no Guy and I ought to know.

NO Guy is not thrilled with the hat but it does match his gaudy shirt that he likes.

Sunday Kind of Guy # 3

Another Sunday Kind of Guy where we find Sir Guy in a beautifully lit profiled set of picture from Series/Season 2 episode "Ducking and Diving" . I will get a GIF out of this set of pictures like I did with last Sunday's.

I just found the pictures that come right after these with Marian...Oh the expression on his face! Maybe next Sunday.

Takes some time but here is the Gif. Lovely. *Sighs*

And the collage of only four of these pictures that made the GIF.

Snotingaham, Nottingham

Mon Cher Guy,

I am going to be brave and assume that you do not know or really care to know much of the history of our little village known as Nottingham. Well Sir Guy, I am apparently more curious than you and therefore went in search of knowledge of Nottingham. I must say though that I am really not surprised by the names that the village has had. Being who the sheriff is one name seems to fit quite well.

Nottingham was in the Anglo-Saxon Heptarchy Kingdom of Mercia and was give the ancient Celtic (Brythonic) name Tigguo Cobauc City of Caves. Where the tannery is at the Pillar Cave.

As I was saying about the names of Nottingham, the Welsh gave the place a lyrical name of Y Ty Ogofog "The Cave Dwelling". However, it was a Saxon chieftain that gave that gave the village a most peculiar name...Snotingaham. Oui, mon cher I am serious. Part of the name came from the chieftain, Snot and the rest means "the people of homestead". So Snotingaham really means " the homestead of Snot's people". Lovely.

So now mon cher Guy, we no longer have Vaisey, the Sheriff of Nottingham we have Vaisey, the Sheriff of Snotingaham. Very fitting. Oui?

Always Yours,
Lady M ♥

Answer to the Method to my Madness

Dearest of Friends,

In my previous correspondence I mentioned that there was a method to my madness for the number of Guy images I sent, I now have the answer...a GIF of Guy using the images. Kind of wicked looking. *Shivers*

Sunday Kind of Guy #2

Let me see what our Sir Guy has in store for us this week. More than one picture? Perhaps?

Hello Yawny.

  Working the angles.

Trust me there is a method to my madness.

New Night Watchman Attire

Yes, I know Guy would not be pleased with me even to know of the Night Watchman, let alone what the Watchman wears, but... *shrugs*

Anyway, I did find a newer attire of what the Night Watchman may wear.

Sunday Kind of Guy

In honor of INSP ( cable station here in the States) starting to show 'Robin Hood' tonight, I thought I would start an as often as I can post called 'Sunday Kind of Guy'.  This is of course to feed the ever growing love for Sir Guy. Also these posts, I hope for more, were inspired by private Richard Armitage fan page that I have been doing some contributing to today.

Dressing Guy

Guy needs to update his wardrobe and he does not seem to pleased about the idea. But even though his style is sexy his updated wardrobe will make him sexier. I am going to be nice and let him keep his leather duster.

But Guy needs to change up his brown tunic a bit. He needs to go from this:

To this similar looking tunic. I want to keep Guy as calm as possible and not send him over the edge. He can be temperamental  at times.

Guy's black tunic I think I will replace just to say it is clean.

Nice new and clean black tunic for my Guy.

Hope mon cher Guy likes the clothes I have chosen for him.

Bonne Nuit,
Lady M ♥

Guy the Cat Man

Word has reached my ears that Guy does like cats, especially black ones.

Even if a Monsieur Richard Armitage is a dog person

And not a cat person.

Welcome to Lady M of Gisborne

Welcome to Lady M of Gisborne. Like most of the blogs I follow I am a fan of Richard Armitage, so much so that I already have a blog dedicated to just him, It's an R.A. World. But this blog is dedicated to Richard's character Guy of Gisborne.

Because of some bloggers that I follow who are into role playing and those that are not,  I thought I would give role playing try it as well. Now some of my post may at times be historical in nature but I will keep fangirling about Guy of Gisborne.

And considering i am new to the world of role playing I may need some help so please bear with me.
