Snow in Nottingham

Snow in Nottingham. Perfect. I hope Guy can make it through the snow for our rendezvous. He should be able to make it for it is a gentle snow. Oh so lovely for us the Saturday after Christmas.

Rendezvous

For a time I thought I had been deserted by Guy. He has been gone for such a long time and with no word. So, what else was I supposed to think but desertion? Death? Never. That would be my undoing. And to be left in Nottingham no less. Do not misjudge me for there is some beauty in Nottingham especially this time of year, but the winter beauty does not ease the loneliness one can feel when her husband and blood relatives are so far away. Being Guy's beloved affords me few acquaintances because the people do not get to witness his tender side like I am privileged to witness. Yes, Guy can be ferocious but only because he feels he must fight for whatever he can. You must understand that Guy's father was a one-time landowner in France but due to my father-in-law's illness the money and property were lost. So Guy was left without a title and land. So Guy, in a sense, became a mercenary and does what he does.

However, on a more pleasant note, as Fate would deem Sir Guy has returned home. That is in the only way that he can at the moment for it seems that Sheriff has all but made Guy a prisoner in Nottingham Castle and we only get to meet each other for a sort while every Saturday morning at midnight for two hours. The witching hour and he can be bewitching. Guy looks to be haunted so no words are spoken about where he has been or what he has done. No nagging just loving. It helps to ease his pains and my worry for a little while. We live in our own fantasy world where no one can see or touch us. We are safe with each other. If only for a short time.

I have had my concerns on whether I would see Guy on Christmas Day for I have thought it not possible. Sadly, the chances were very high that Guy would be locked away in Nottingham Castle on that day but miracles have been known to happen.  This I pray for deeply, I pray that I will be able to meet with Sir Guy again this Saturday morning and that Vaisey does not find out about our rendezvous.
